It's unfair that people who deleted their original characters to create new ones and ended up having to wait longer to receive their 1 year gifts too.
But it happened because Anet chose to implement it that way, and ultimately, complaining about a free bonus was silly.
So Anet's been giving Divine Aura to subsequent chapters as a little extra 'thank you' as well; It's their choice to give gifts to who they please for what reasons they choose to, and it's silly to fuss over it.
Would it somehow make you better off if they took it away or never added it?
For the record, I regret having not purchased the Prophecies Collector's Edition. That is to say, I'm a "have-not" as well.
But it's a purely aesthetic, minor gift, and it doesn't really bother me in the least that others are receiving.
(Edit: Note, I hope this hasn't come out sounding condescending; It's just that out of all the recent complaints to flood Riverside, both valid and questionable, this one seems like the downright silliest, so it's drawing criticism from me it might not have gotten otherwise.)

well it's not really fair that I can't go and buy Magic:TG packs with Alpha and Beta cards in them at the same price as normal packs are now. They are reserved for those that invested early. Is it fair, heh.. I'm not going to cry about it, because not everything in life is fair. I'm not going to blame you for it because I don't know you. As far as I know you live in a world (parents' house) where everything may be fair and won't realize this until some point in the future.
Some people supported ANet from Beta onward -more- than others by spending more. There are people that claim that they won't by an expensive edition at first on a new game because it could suck. Well I don't know a whole lot of people that go back and by a collector's edition after they've already bought the regular one, but maybe they do. I figure if a game has interested me enough to spend money on it and if the collector's edition isn't two to three times more expensive, then yeah, I'll take a chance on the CE. The fact of the matter is some of you didn't and now you're pissed. The tradeoff is that now that you know you like it you can find one on ebay for who knows how much more money.
As far as those that didn't hear about it in time, well maybe you should subscribe to a game magazine or something that may do previews on upcoming games instead of just sitting around, waiting for it to hit you on the head and then say how unfair it is that you didn't find out about it first.
EDIT: Besides, it's glowing hands. I mean c'mon, it's not like its a castle on a commonly traveled path or something. It's a little glow that surrounds your hands. It's not like all the Prophecies characters get disco balls, special dances, and green mini-pets. You really are crying over something so small. If they don't give DA to us any more, fine, it's not that it's a really big deal. You really can't get over someone getting something really small like that can you? You're friggin sad. Even those of us with the original pre-order only got a 'censors item' offhand for a monk, not a max wpn for each class and/or an extra character slot. heh..
And this wasn't directed towards the op obviously as he/she has stated it sn o big deal, but towards the people that really do seem to be perturbed about not being able to get it at the originally released price.

Ok, lets end this, those of us that bought the Prophecies CE get the divine aura on our Factions and Nightfall characters because of the following reasons:
1) ANet saying thank you for the support we gave them and the risk we took by originally buying the CE
2) The original CE box states the following "INCLUDES: Collector's Exclusive: 'Divine Aura' - Each character you create manifests the gods' favor with a glowing aura visible to all"
please note that #2 does NOT say "INCLUDES: Collector's Exclusive: 'Divine Aura' - Each PROPHECIES character you create manifests the gods' favor with a glowing aura visible to all"

As far as that's concerned, I'm surprised it wasn't done SOONER then. Besides, why are people complaining about not having glowing hands that are BARELY noticable unless you actually LOOK? They're not getting automatic rifles that deal 200 damage per bullet, they're not getting explosives and overpowering the game, they're getting a SLIGHT aura that is fun to have and DESERVED!
Bottom line: If you want a Prophecies CE benefit, you'd better have Prophecies CE then.
